Our 2019 House Captains

Cross Country

On Wednesday 9th October, 20 children from years 5 and 6 went to Odd Down Cross Country track and raced 1.2km against other local primary schools. Conditions were far from ideal for running a cross country course. It was very cold and wet, so well done to Harry, Connor, Flynn, Hayden, Harrison, Evie R, Zara, Anwyn, Ruby, Maxinne, Jacob, Vinnie, Peter, Alfie, Lucas, Rhianne, Evie O, Gracie, Gabriella and Avalee. Everyone raced well and had a good time, especially Zara, Vinnie and Rhianne who all placed in the top 6 of their races.

Yr 5/6 Football Team

On Monday 21st October the Yr5/6 travelled to Paulton for the first match of the season. The boys and Kate played exceptionally well but unfortunately lost 10-0 to a very good Paulton team. Well done team for not giving up!

Report by Hayden and Michael.

Well done to Flynn, Harry, Hayden, Connor, Michael, Kate, Charlie, Lucas, Jacob and Harrison.

Girls Football

On Thursday 22nd October the girls football team played Peasedown in a cup match which ended in a fantastic result. The end score was 21-0 to St Nicks. We would like to thank Mark for preparing us for this match and for all the other teachers for cheering us all on. Thank you!

By Kate and Laura

A massive well done to Laura Kate, Kelly, Maxinne, Rhianne, Evie, Darcie, Gracie and Avalee.

Girls Football Tournament
Tuesday 12th November Feeling incredibly proud of our footballers tonight. All of the girls played brilliantly in freezing cold conditions and apart from 2 players, our B team had never played a match before. They drew their first game and narrowly lost the others.
The ‘A’ team went through to the finals following a ‘sudden death’ penalty shootout. Special mention has to go to Kate who saved goal after goal in the most stressful of situations, sadly the girls lost 1-0 in the final against Paulton. We couldn’t be more proud of the way the girls behaved showing excellent
sportsmanship at all times.

Boys Football Tournament
On Tuesday 25th November, the year 5/6 football team went to Somervale School to play in the foootball tournament. We were in a very strong group, playing against Paulton and Westfield (who were the eventual winners). We played exceptionally well and scored some brilliant goals but weren't able to grab the gold this time.Well done team!

Swimming Gala
On Wednesday the 27th November the amazing swimmers (Kelly, Poppy, Laura, Liam, Lucas, Charlie, Gracie and Gabriella), went to Midsomer Norton Sports Centre for the swimming Gala. We finished 6th out of 10 teams and no one won any medals this time but we all tried our best. Well done to all the Swimmers!
