Our School Environment
St Nicholas CE (VC) Primary opened in September 2005 educating children between 4 and 11 years of age. In 2019, a new build was opened and this has taken the capacity of the school to 420 children. In September 2019, the school also opened a specialist resource base for children with SEMH needs, which is called the Midford.
It is near the centre of Radstock, a small town 10 miles from the centre of Bath. St Nicholas Pre-School and Radstock Nursery have premises in the grounds.
The school has 14 classrooms, a library, large school hall, community hall, specialist rooms and quiet rooms. The school is fully accessible for children with physical impairments. There are two playgrounds, a sports field and a large landscaped area to play in and for explore. As a school we aim to promote creative play and have excellent facilities throughout the school site, making it a beautiful learning and working environment. The classrooms lead out onto the school grounds and are well resourced.
